Description

SKYZONE TX2501 is a high-power FPV video transmitter (VTX) built for those who need a confident image on long-distance routes: long-range drones, FPV wings, RC aircraft, and custom DIY builds. The unit operates in the popular 5.8 GHz band with Low Band and X Band support, while the 6.2G version opens up an even wider frequency space — up to 6184 MHz. This gives you more freedom to pick a clean channel and reduces the risk of interference in crowded RF environments.

The transmitter offers four output power levels — from 25 mW for nearby flights up to 2500 mW for maximum range. With a “cold start” of the cooling system, peak power can briefly reach 3.0–3.5 W, which is especially useful in challenging reception conditions. To keep the VTX stable under load, SKYZONE use a rugged CNC housing that acts as a heatsink and add active cooling via a built-in fan.

Settings are fast and menu-free: the LED Segment Display shows the selected band, channel, and power. There are two control methods: the on-body button (Button Mode) or the IRC protocol (IRC Mode) from the flight controller. Important: only one mode can be used at a time; if you configure it via the button, IRC in Betaflight should be disabled. A reliable MMCX connector is used for the antenna, and the wide 9–26 V input range makes integration into different platforms easier.
